About OSM Liberia

Empowering communities through open mapping and youth leadership

01

Mission & engagement

To empower young people and students to use open mapping, data, and technology to create positive social change—strengthening communities, improving resilience, and supporting humanitarian response through collaboration with the global Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team.

02

Spread Global Awareness

We train and engage young people and students to use open mapping and geospatial tools to address local challenges, support disaster response, and contribute to global humanitarian and development efforts through the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team network.

03

Organize grant funding

We bring together passionate youth, students, educators, volunteers, and local community members eager to learn, collaborate, and create impact through open mapping. Our network includes universities, civil society, and humanitarian partners who share our vision of using open data for good.

04

Ignite sustainable Impact

We empower youth and students through hands-on training, mapping campaigns, and community projects that use open data and geospatial technology. By partnering with local institutions and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, we organize mapathons, workshops, and field data collection to support disaster preparedness, development planning, and social impact initiatives.
